Security Software Data Engineer I — Cybersecurity Visualization

Job overview

The Security Software Data Engineer I role is fully remote. Compensation is $45–$64 per hour. The position supports a premier banking client by turning cybersecurity data into interactive analytical experiences. The engineer builds and maintains Power BI reporting solutions that help cybersecurity teams and leaders explore data, investigate trends, and make operational and strategic decisions. The role also supports data quality, testing, documentation, and ongoing improvement of reporting solutions.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and interactive visualizations for cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, engineering, risk management, and leadership
• create data models, measures, semantic layers, and visual components
• build interactive data exploration features
• work with data pipelines, integrations, and ETL
• collaborate with cybersecurity, engineering, and business teams
• maintain data quality controls, validation, testing, and documentation
• participate in Agile activities, peer reviews, deployment, and ongoing support.
