What you'll do

• Evaluate patients’ speech and language difficulties and determine the need for continued therapy
• teach patients to improve sounds and voices
• teach alternative communication methods such as sign language when appropriate
• guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in therapeutic exercises
• document progress, clinical notes, and patient response according to agency policy.
