The Substitute Teacher, Head Start role is onsite in Wendover, UT. Pay is $16 per hour. Utah Community Action’s classroom team provides education and support for children and families. The substitute helps maintain a safe, nurturing classroom for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers when regular teachers are absent. The role supports children’s development through engaging activities, consistent routines, and communication with staff and families.

What you'll do

• Help provide a safe and nurturing classroom environment
• plan engaging activities that support children’s development
• build relationships with children
• communicate with staff and families
• maintain classroom routines during the regular teacher’s absence
• accept assignments that may last from a day to a week or longer
• work at least one shift every 45 days.
