The OT Network & Site Infrastructure Engineer is a hybrid role based in Houston, TX, with listed work locations in Dallas, Houston, Abilene, Pampa, or Amarillo. Total compensation is $118,000–$137,000 per year, including base salary and bonus. Intersect’s Corporate IT and OT Infrastructure team supports clean-energy facilities and the company’s mission to accelerate the clean energy transition. The engineer builds and secures the communications infrastructure connecting energy sites, control systems, corporate tools, and the grid. The role leads greenfield network deployments, maintains secure remote access and threat detection, troubleshoots SCADA connectivity, and coordinates with engineering, SCADA, vendors, and field operations to support reliable site operations.

What you'll do

• Deploy and configure industrial switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and routing infrastructure
• implement IT/OT segmentation aligned with industry practices and NERC CIP controls
• administer VPN, ZTNA, and jump-server access
• integrate OT intrusion detection and endpoint protection
• troubleshoot SCADA Ignition, RTU telemetry, and field-sensor communications
• optimize network performance and validate failover
• lead on-site commissioning and vendor activities
• coordinate network standards, documentation, and monitoring with IT, SCADA, and Field Operations.
