Calendar Operator

The Calendar Operator role is onsite in Morris, IL. Pay is $21.19–$21.51 per hour. The position supports production and product-quality processes at Leggett & Platt. The operator monitors and adjusts calender equipment so rubber sheet meets thickness and quality requirements. The role contributes to consistent production by following product specifications, recording operating details, preparing backing rolls, and maintaining a safe work area.

What you'll do

• Monitor and adjust the calender and related equipment
• record running speeds, rubber gauge, and adjustments
• consult product specifications
• adjust water valves or digital controls
• prepare and splice backing rolls and safely operate the hoist
• adjust rubber sheet trim
• assist the strip feed operator when needed
• maintain a clean, safe work area and identify product or process problems.
