Completions Engineer

The Completions Engineer role is onsite in Anchorage, AK. Compensation is not specified. The position supports Santos’ Alaska assets and the Pikka Phase 1 project, a North Slope oil development intended to support production of 80,000 barrels per day. The engineer provides technical leadership for safe completion planning, design, and execution on horizontal and hydraulically fractured wells. The role integrates with drilling, subsurface, and operations teams to meet reservoir and production objectives, improve well performance, and maintain regulatory and company standards.

What you'll do

• Plan, design, and execute completion operations
• apply risk management and engineering principles
• integrate with drilling, subsurface, and operations teams
• support completion design through execution and post-appraisal
• address completion systems, stimulation, fluids, proppant, well integrity, and downhole monitoring
• support well design, artificial lift, workovers, flowback, and cleanup
• promote safety and environmental compliance
• improve efficiency and reliability
• mentor junior engineers.
