What you'll do

• Coordinate add-on/urgent/emergent cases with charge RN, anesthesia, and surgeons
• verify staff, room, equipment, and instrument availability. Document delays and reasons
• escalate barriers. Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Performs the role of the scrub technician. Uses principles of aseptic technique to establish and maintain a sterile field. Facilitates efficient completion of the surgery schedule. Maintains organized work area and participates in daily unit duties. Competent in at least 3 specialty areas.

What we're looking for

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification for Surgical Technology with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. Competent in at least 3 specialty areas. Basic Life Support (BLS).
