Job overview
The Certified Medical Assistant role is onsite in Washington, DC. Pay is $20–$25 per hour. The position supports the PrEP Clinic and community health’s daytime STI testing and primary care providers at clinic and mobile testing locations. The role provides clinical support and STI and PrEP education to patients and community members. It contributes to care delivery by carrying out practitioner-ordered clinical tasks, documenting services, and supporting outreach and team coordination.
What you'll do
- Draw blood and handle specimens
- administer ordered injections and oral medications under appropriate supervision
- take and record vital signs
- document activities in medical charts
- educate patients and targeted populations about HIV, PrEP, STIs, and sexual wellness
- maintain a sanitary clinic
- support reporting, inventory, outreach, team meetings, and quality improvement activities.
