General Accountant

The General Accountant role is onsite in Auburn, NY, with compensation of $31.44–$37.75 per hour. Unity House’s mission is to empower and enrich the lives of people in recovery, coping with mental illness, and/or living with developmental disabilities. This role supports accurate financial reporting and accounting through preparation of financial statements and journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and analysis of financial data. It contributes to the organization’s financial operations while maintaining confidentiality and working with staff and management across work sites.

What you'll do

• Prepare financial statements and journal entries
• reconcile the general ledger
• analyze and interpret financial data
• apply GAAP accounting principles
• use computerized accounting software and Microsoft Excel and Word
• maintain confidentiality
• work cooperatively with management and staff at various work sites.
