The Swim Instructor role is onsite in Montrose, CO, in a public swimming pool environment. The stated pay is $16.50–$18 per hour. The instructor supports the Montrose Recreation District’s aquatics programs and reports to aquatics recreation staff.

What you'll do

• Plan, schedule, and implement swimming and water-safety instruction
• deliver age-appropriate, skill-focused lessons
• maintain participant safety
• respond to patron questions and concerns
• inspect and maintain pool equipment
• assist with special events as needed
• and maintain program records. The schedule may include weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays. American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification is required or must be obtained when a class is offered.
