Senior Data Engineer

The Senior Data Engineer role is fully remote within the United States, with less than 10% occasional planned travel. Compensation is $120,000–$160,000 per year. Care Access works to expand access to health services and medical research, including through research locations, mobile clinics, and clinicians. The role builds and maintains scalable data pipelines and enterprise data solutions that support clinical, operational, analytical, and reporting needs. It contributes to reliable, governed data infrastructure and informed decision-making by integrating data sources, improving platform performance, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and reusable architecture standards
• automate data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration
• optimize data lakes and cloud warehouses using Azure and Databricks
• monitor batch and streaming processes
• maintain documentation and data lineage
• integrate APIs and structured and unstructured sources
• review team work
• mentor junior team members
• evaluate technologies and improve infrastructure, automation, efficiency, and performance.
