Job overview

The Electrical Engineering and Design Intern role is hybrid, primarily based at Egan Company’s headquarters in Champlin, MN, with office and jobsite work required at times and remote work possible after onboarding and training. Pay is $23.00 per hour. The intern supports Egan’s Electrical Solutions & Prefabrication Team on design/build construction projects. The internship provides practical experience in electrical drafting, modeling, design, and construction methods. Working with designers and engineers, the intern contributes to project documentation and design tasks while learning project workflows and participating in the summer internship program.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with project design teams on design/build construction projects
• use AutoCAD and/or Revit systems
• assist or shadow senior staff
• prepare electrical construction or change documents using Revit or AutoCAD MEP
• assist with circuiting, lighting, and power system design tasks
• attend jobsite meetings
• assist with estimating
• participate in construction document reviews
• follow safety policies
• participate in internship activities.
