Senior Bridge Engineer (P.E.)

The base salary range is $150,000–$180,000 per year, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The role supports Rinker Design Associates' Transportation Team on bridge and transportation structure projects. The engineer leads structural design and project delivery, providing technical guidance during construction and helping projects meet applicable standards, schedules, and budgets. The position also develops junior and mid-level engineers and contributes to client relationships and project pursuits.

What you'll do

• Lead and deliver structural designs for bridges, retaining walls, and other transportation structures on Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects.
• Develop calculations, drawings, and alternatives supported by technical analysis.
• Coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to meet schedule, budget, VDOT, AASHTO, and FHWA requirements.
• Provide construction support, including RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and field problem solving.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to proposals and project pursuits.
