The Director of People & Culture is an onsite role in Port Townsend, WA, with an annual salary of $82,297–$120,152. The Food Co-op’s leadership team relies on this role to guide people strategy and support the organization’s mission and strategic goals. The director leads the Human Resources department and advises leaders on employee relations, talent, compliance, compensation, benefits, training, and workplace culture. The role develops HR systems and practices that support organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and a healthy workplace.

What you'll do

• Lead HR strategy, policies, programs, and systems
• advise the General Manager, leadership team, and managers
• supervise HR team members
• oversee employee relations, recruitment, compensation, benefits, leave, training, HRIS, records, workplace safety, and workers’ compensation processes.

Why this role

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant education and experience; two to five years of progressively responsible HR generalist experience required. Five or more years of HR management experience preferred.
