Component Engineer

The Component Engineer role is onsite in Melville, NY. The stated salary range is $100,000–$130,000 per year. The position works with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and suppliers to support component and hardware requirements for programs. The role manages component selection, qualification, documentation, and lifecycle issues so components meet design, performance, reliability, quality, cost, delivery, and regulatory requirements. It also supports resolution of component-related failures and production or field issues.

What you'll do

• Select, evaluate, and approve components and materials
• maintain component specifications, approved vendor lists, technical documentation, and system component item masters. Review drawings and specifications, perform qualification and validation assessments, support root-cause investigations, address supplier issues and obsolescence, and manage engineering changes and substitutions. Partner with Manufacturing and Quality to resolve production and field issues and maintain engineering records.
