The Direct Support Professional II role is onsite in Santa Barbara, CA, with pay of $28 per hour and a $1 overnight differential, for $29 per hour on overnight shifts. Devereux’s Foothill Home supports adults with autism and related medical or behavioral health needs in a residential setting. The role provides direct support that helps residents build daily living skills, participate in community activities, and work toward individualized social, emotional, physical, and personal goals. Staff use positive reinforcement and contribute to program planning and documentation.

What you'll do

• Use positive reinforcement and antecedent strategies
• support planning, implementation, and documentation of programs
• assist with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping, and hygiene
• accompany residents on outings and appointments
• provide hygienic care
• work with individuals who may exhibit challenging or aggressive behaviors.

Why this role

Shifts include 6 AM–2 PM, 2 PM–10 PM, 10 PM–6 AM, and 12 AM–9 AM; one weekend shift per week is required. At least 40 hours of paid training is provided.
