Customer Care Specialist

Job overview

Customer Care Specialist is an onsite role in Moses Lake, WA, scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., for 40 hours per week. Starting pay is $21–$23 per hour, depending on experience. The role supports HopeSource’s Customer Care team in connecting customers with appropriate care and housing resources. The specialist responds to customers, assesses needs and risks, coordinates referrals, and follows up to support timely resolution. The work includes helping households experiencing homelessness explore housing options and connecting customers with internal programs and community resources.

What you'll do

• Answer and transfer calls
• assist customers by phone, walk-in, or portal
• maintain contact notes and follow-ups
• use problem-solving conversations to identify customer strengths and resources
• conduct risk assessments and referrals
• support housing diversion strategies and landlord advocacy
• screen for program eligibility
• coordinate referrals and follow-ups
• provide emergency services as needed and document them.
