Mammography Technologist, PRN - Midtown at Piedmont Healthcare in Columbus, GA. This is an onsite position. This role involves performing specialized examinations of the breast to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease, operating mammographic radiographic equipment and other devices, and performing advanced breast imaging procedures.

What you'll do

• Performs quality screening, diagnostic and other mammography procedures.
• Reviews all exam requisitions for pertinent information.
• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all required exams on patients, positioning the patient and equipment, selecting the protocol, technique and utilizing all required equipment.
• Evaluates images for diagnostic quality, obtaining additional images as needed.
• Ensures accuracy of each exam by following established procedures and labeling images correctly.
• Provides Customer Service/Support to patient population.
• Maintains all required records, reports, and files as required by Federal, State and other regulatory agencies.
• May be required to demonstrate competence and proficiency in performing all radiological procedures on patients of all age groups.
• Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains proficiency to perform breast imaging interventional procedures.
• Assist with performing and planning multiple diagnostic procedures in appropriate time sequences.
• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.
• Acts as a mentor for residents and junior technologists.
• Ensures department meets all regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate of an JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology program.

Experience

1-year experience as a Mammography Technologist.
