The Low-Voltage Apprentice Technician role is onsite in Nantucket, MA, with year-round work on the island. Compensation is $25–$35 per hour as proposed in the posting. The position exists to train an entry-level technician in low-voltage installation and service while assisting experienced technicians. Through hands-on work with wiring, devices, testing, and troubleshooting, the apprentice contributes to customer safety and develops skills toward becoming a licensed technician as applicable requirements are met.

What you'll do

• Assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing security, fire alarm, camera, and access control systems
• learn to pull, route, and connect low-voltage wiring
• help install and set up sensors, detectors, alarm panels, cameras, and communicators
• assist with testing and troubleshooting
• follow safe work practices and installation requirements
• maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicle readiness.
