Health Information Management Director

The Health Information Management Director role is onsite in Greenville, MS. Compensation is not specified. The role exists to maintain the integrity, accessibility, and timely completion of inpatient and outpatient records while ensuring compliance with facility policies, CMS regulations, Joint Commission standards, QAPI requirements, and confidentiality laws. It also provides operational oversight, reporting, audits, and documentation education.

What you'll do

• Create and maintain the Master Patient Index
• supervise documentation, retrieval, storage, and record-integrity processes
• track record completion and deficiencies
• respond to medical-record requests in compliance with HIPAA and state law
• submit discharge records to the RHIA coder within 24 hours
• prepare census, SBS, medical staff, payor mix, regulatory, and QAPI reports
• conduct chart audits
• facilitate documentation education
• participate in OPPE/FPPE processes and monitor regulatory updates.
