Director of People and Culture

Job overview

The Director of People and Culture role is fully remote for candidates living in the Northeast United States, with periodic travel to New York City for retreats and key meetings, no more than four times per year. The salary is $118,000 annually. The Opportunity Network supports students’ college and career goals through its Fellows and national partnership programs. As OppNet’s senior human resources practitioner, the director leads people operations and employee experience while guiding staff through organizational change. The role will support the incoming CEO’s transition, strengthen people practices and culture, and supervise the Senior Coordinator of People and Culture.

What you'll do

• Lead people operations, culture, and employee experience
• plan people-related organizational change and incoming CEO integration
• support staff and managers through transitions
• oversee HR compliance, benefits, leave, payroll partnership, budget, handbook, and HR systems
• manage recruitment, onboarding, performance, retention, and offboarding
• lead engagement and culture surveys and employee relations
• coach managers
• supervise the Senior Coordinator
• participate in organizational learning and meetings.
