The Industrial Wastewater Operator role is onsite in North Charleston, SC. Starting pay is $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience and whether a Wastewater Operator License is held; candidates with sufficient industry experience may be able to negotiate a higher starting rate. The role supports treatment facilities and production processes that affect the communities Inframark serves. The operator runs and maintains treatment equipment, monitors water and wastewater systems, documents treatment activity, and responds to emergency callouts. The work helps maintain permit compliance, support production, and protect safe and reliable facility operations.

What you'll do

• Operate and maintain valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, and disinfection systems
• test, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on treatment systems
• document daily flow, chemical usage, and treatment processes
• respond to emergency callouts and restore equipment functionality
• maintain facility cleanliness and security
• train employees on SOPs, safety practices, and plant operations
• communicate technical operations and support maintenance coordination.
