What you'll do
- Empower students by teaching an inclusive, culturally responsive curriculum.
- Guide students to analyze literary and non-narrative texts, assess author's purpose, write in various genres, and engage in student-led discourse.
- Create an inclusive and safe environment.
- Guide students to choose books independently.
- Meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze student work and assessments.
- Differentiate instruction for all learners.
- Build positive relationships with students and partner with families.
- Engage in professional development, mentorship, and coaching.
- Participate in school-wide meetings.
What we're looking for
- Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience
- 1-2 years experience preferred.
