Water Sampling Technician, Part-Time

The Water Sampling Technician role is onsite at VA medical centers in Phoenix, Tucson, and Prescott, AZ, with travel throughout Arizona and overnight travel as required. The technician collects and documents samples from potable, sterile processing, dental, dialysis, cooling tower, and other utility water systems. Accurate sampling, chain-of-custody records, and timely data submission support facility water-quality monitoring and infection-prevention requirements.

What you'll do

• Collect water samples from specified facility water systems
• measure and document temperature, residual disinfectant or chlorine, and pH
• follow aseptic collection procedures
• maintain chain-of-custody documentation
• label and prepare samples for overnight shipment
• complete electronic field documentation
• coordinate with facility personnel
• maintain sampling equipment and supplies.
