Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor

The Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor role is onsite in Agoura Hills, CA. Pay is $20–$28 per hour. Prosperous Health provides behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment, supporting recovery and long-term wellness. The counselor provides structured counseling and education to people experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Through group facilitation, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and coordination with clinical colleagues, the role supports clients’ recovery skills and continuity of care.

What you'll do

• Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups focused on addiction recovery and relapse prevention
• support individualized treatment plans
• conduct screenings, assessments, and progress evaluations
• provide recovery education and skill building
• document services and maintain EHR records
• collaborate with clinical and medical staff
• support crisis de-escalation, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
