What you'll do

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal needs
• engage patients in treatment, social, leisure, and recreational activities
• use therapeutic communication
• take vital signs and obtain urine specimens
• assist with nursing tasks under unit nurse direction
• report observations about behavior, medication reactions, symptoms, pain, fall risk, and suicide risk
• document observations and interventions
• conduct unit rounds and searches
• respond to codes within training
• maintain unit supplies and cleanliness
• participate in activity therapy and mandatory in-services
• maintain required certifications.
