- incorporate physiological, psychological, cultural, developmental, and spiritual needs into care
- direct and evaluate delegated support tasks
- collaborate with colleagues
- promote breastfeeding and support mothers’ goals
- maintain competency and complete annual education
- use nursing process and clinical judgment
- follow infection prevention and patient safety practices
- educate staff on breastfeeding physiology and clinical management.
