The Refrigeration and HVAC Technician II role is an onsite, full-time position based in Kansas City, KS, paying $26–$40 per hour. The technician supports Balls Food Stores’ Support Office team and store operations across its Hen House, Price Chopper, SunFresh, and Payless locations. This role maintains reliable grocery-store refrigeration, HVAC, and other equipment to protect product quality and reduce downtime. The technician responds to service requests, diagnoses and repairs equipment, performs preventive maintenance, and documents work in the computerized maintenance management system.

What you'll do

• Maintain and repair refrigeration, HVAC, food-preparation, and other grocery-store equipment
• respond to service requests and emergency maintenance calls
• diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• replace components
• monitor system performance
• perform preventive maintenance
• document work orders and service activity
• follow OSHA and EPA requirements and safe refrigerant-handling practices.
