CNC Laser Operator

The CNC Laser Operator role is onsite in Oklahoma City, OK. Compensation is $22–$27 per hour, based on experience. Openwork is recruiting for a direct-hire position with a manufacturing operation. The operator sets up and runs CNC plate and tube laser equipment, creates nesting programs, and checks parts against specifications. The role contributes to efficient material use and consistent production quality through precise cutting, inspection, and safe equipment operation.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC plate and tube laser equipment
• cut metal plate, sheet, and tubing
• create and adjust nesting programs
• load raw materials and unload finished parts
• read technical drawings and shop orders
• verify dimensions and tolerances
• inspect parts with precision measuring tools
• deburr and grind as needed
• perform preventive maintenance
• monitor cutting gases
• troubleshoot minor issues
• follow safety, quality, and production procedures.
