Director of Operations — Schools

Job overview

The Director of Operations role is onsite in New Orleans, LA, with compensation of $65,000–$75,000 per year. EQA is a nonprofit serving students through alternative high schools, a therapeutic middle school program, virtual learning, and a HiSET program. The director ensures students and staff have functional facilities, materials, and contracted services. The role develops network-level systems and policies and coordinates school operations, vendors, safety, assets, food service, transportation, and student support activities.

What you'll do

• Develop and refine school operations systems and procedures
• manage assets and risk
• oversee contracted IT, food service, transportation, and security vendors
• coordinate excursions and student meals
• track purchased assets and support purchasing decisions
• address safety and security issues
• monitor organizational financial health
• support state testing, student health services, recruiting, and enrollment
• complete special projects.
