Surgical Recovery Coordinator (Surgical Technologist)

The Surgical Recovery Coordinator (Surgical Technologist) role is onsite in Knoxville, TN. Compensation is not specified. Tennessee Donor Services works to save and enhance lives through organ donation and transplantation. The coordinator supports donor recovery by coordinating surgical recovery, organ preservation, packaging, allocation, and transportation in partnership with transplant surgeons and organ recovery coordinators. The role also takes primary responsibility for renal preservation and includes extensive on-call responsibilities and coordination of fly outs and fly backs.

What you'll do

• Manage the renal preservation process, including pumping and pump transport
• assist with surgical recovery, preservation, and packaging of organs and specimens
• coordinate fly outs and fly backs
• assist with organ allocation, kidney and liver placement, distribution, and transportation for transplantation or research
• perform on-call responsibilities related to donor recovery.
