Director of Nursing

What you'll do

• Plan, coordinate, and manage the nursing department
• oversee nursing staff and care quality
• assist with the facility’s annual budget and monitor nursing services performance
• conduct rounds
• oversee charting and care documentation
• hire, train, and retain nursing staff
• develop staffing plans and schedules
• evaluate prospective and current residents’ care needs
• communicate with the medical director
• manage clinical aspects of government surveys
• lead clinical start-up meetings and participate in at-risk meetings
• oversee resident assessments and care planning
• analyze clinical outcomes and bring concerns to the quality committee
• maintain nursing policies and protocols, including antibiotic-use processes.
