• route and prioritize calls and referrals
• prepare admission information and packets
• monitor open referrals
• verify insurance benefits and eligibility
• calculate copays and deductibles
• complete authorization documentation and follow up
• coordinate admission timing with clinical and scheduling teams
• maintain referral reports and patient confidentiality
• answer weekend and after-hours insurance questions for new referrals.
