The Senior Systems Engineer – Lab Facility role is fully onsite in Pittsfield, MA. Pay is $112,924–$125,275 per year. The engineer supports the Columbia Shore Site team and the U.S. Navy’s Columbia-class Submarine Strategic Systems Program. The engineer contributes across the systems development lifecycle for a tactical-grade shore-site laboratory facility, from requirements and design through installation, integration, testing, certification, and formal acceptance. The work helps deliver a facility that supports the Navy program’s strategic systems mission.

What you'll do

• Contribute to requirements development, detailed design, equipment procurement, field installation, test and integration, certification, and formal sell-off
• support facility requirements and layout documentation, design reviews, installation planning, integration and test plans, government certification, and final acceptance
• manage technical risks and resolve engineering challenges
• collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
• mentor junior engineers
• travel within the United States for site surveys, installation, and customer program reviews.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor's degree in systems engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field plus five years of relevant experience, or a master's degree plus three years. U.S. citizenship is required, and the candidate must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance.
