Computer Support Specialist — Quality Assurance Testing

The Computer Support Specialist role is onsite in Albany, NY, with up to 50% telecommuting potentially permitted at the hiring manager’s discretion. Pay is $20–$22 per hour. The role supports the client’s PMO by performing quality assurance testing of client applications. The specialist develops test plans and cases, executes manual and automated testing, documents and retests defects, and helps maintain regression coverage. The work contributes to identifying application issues and improving release quality.

What you'll do

• Develop test plans and detailed test cases from project requirements
• perform manual testing of client applications
• identify and document bugs in Jira
• retest fixes
• design and execute manual and automated test plans for features and releases
• maintain a regression test suite
• perform exploratory testing
• work with engineers to define acceptance criteria and testable requirements
• track, prioritize, and report defects
• establish QA metrics.
