What you'll do

• Review menus and recipes

• prepare substitute items for residents’ needs
• portion and serve meals
• label and store leftovers
• maintain cooking and holding temperature logs
• follow food-handling and regulatory requirements
• direct assisting workers
• discard expired food
• maintain records and inventory
• receive and store supplies using FIFO
• clean equipment and kitchen areas
• update dietary cards
• assist with training
• use infection-control practices
• manage dietary personnel in the Food Service Director’s absence.
