The Cyber Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) Analyst — Journeyman ISSM-Basic role is onsite in Huntsville, AL; compensation is not specified. The role supports a Cyber Compliance Team providing ISSM-Basic support for tactical systems. The analyst evaluates hardware, software, systems, and networks against security controls, supports Risk Management Framework assessment and authorization, and maintains system security documentation. This work helps the team assess and mitigate risks while sustaining systems within Department of Defense requirements.

What you'll do

• Evaluate equipment, software applications, systems, and networks against applicable NIST controls and document security posture, capabilities, and vulnerabilities. Select and assess security controls
• complete accreditation packages
• formulate and implement mitigations
• maintain system security posture. Initiate, update, and maintain RMF packages in eMASS. Identify and assess threats and risks, recommend mitigations, validate security requirements, and coordinate certification and accreditation activities. Work with system developers on RMF and POA&M documentation. Document residual risks and manage and approve authorization packages. Evaluate compliance with DoD security, resilience, and dependability requirements and work with teams to sustain system functionality within the DoD RMF framework.

Why this role

Requires U.S. citizenship, an active U.S. Secret clearance, DoDD 8140 ISSM-Basic compliance, an associate degree in a related field, and experience with DoD STIGs, NIST RMF, IAVMs, and cybersecurity assessment tools. Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is a plus.
