The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Intermediate role is onsite in Staunton, VA. Compensation is $28–$30 per hour. The EMT assesses patients, provides prehospital emergency care within the applicable scope and protocols, and transports patients to appropriate facilities. The role supports timely, safe care through scene assessment, treatment, communication, and accurate patient-care reporting.

What you'll do

• Respond to dispatch calls and identify routes
• assess scene safety and patient condition, perform triage, and request additional help as needed
• provide emergency care and interventions within scope and protocol
• transport and monitor patients
• communicate care and observations to receiving staff
• maintain ambulance and medical equipment readiness
• complete patient-care reports and required continuing education.
