Facilities Technician

Job overview

The Facilities Technician role is onsite in Eastport, ME, and may require work at and travel between Eastport Health Care locations. Pay is $18.50–$23.08 per hour. The position supports the Facilities Director in maintaining clean, safe, functional healthcare facilities for patients and staff. The technician combines housekeeping, janitorial work, routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, and grounds support. By completing work orders, identifying facility needs, and reporting issues that require specialized expertise, the role helps maintain safe and well-functioning care environments.

What you'll do

• Clean and disinfect facility and clinical areas according to established procedures
• manage waste, floors, laundry, supplies, and housekeeping areas
• perform routine light repairs and maintenance within training and experience
• assist with building-system inspections and preventive maintenance
• complete work orders and maintain records
• inspect buildings and grounds and report deficiencies or hazards
• assist with seasonal grounds work, snow and ice control, facility projects, and contractor access
• follow safety, infection prevention, emergency preparedness, and patient privacy requirements.
