HVAC Technician 2 — Night Shift

The HVAC Technician 2 role is onsite in Urbana, MD, with compensation of $30–$37.50 per hour. M.C. Dean designs, builds, operates, and maintains systems for mission-critical facilities and complex infrastructure. The technician troubleshoots and maintains HVAC and other building engineering systems, including critical systems in data center or mission-critical environments. The work supports reliable equipment performance, building efficiency, and occupant and property protection.

What you'll do

• Maintain engineering systems and equipment, including chillers, IFUs, VAVs, HVAC controls, and fire and life safety sprinkler systems
• inspect and adjust mechanical equipment
• perform preventive and general maintenance
• monitor systems and maintain operating logs
• use test equipment and analyze results
• report faults and unusual occurrences
• respond to emergencies
• maintain data center or mission-critical systems, including HVAC, CRAC units, life safety, building automation, and utilities.

Why this role

Alternating two-week schedule with shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.; schedule lists Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday. Requires an active HVAC journeyman license or ability to obtain one within 90 days, and eligibility for a government security investigation and HSPD clearance, including U.S. citizenship.
