The Home Health Aide — AIP32802 provides onsite and community-based services in consumers’ homes and community settings in New York, New York. Pay is $19.23 per hour. The Institute for Community Living supports individuals through person-centered care that promotes independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life. The aide assists consumers with personal care and daily living, follows individualized care plans, and reports changes or safety concerns to support continuity of care under a Registered Nurse or designated supervisor.

What you'll do

  • Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, skin care, oral hygiene, meals, mobility, transfers, and ambulation. Perform light housekeeping and laundry
  • provide medication reminders as directed
  • accompany consumers to appointments and community activities
  • document services
  • observe and report changes in condition
  • and follow infection-control and safety procedures.

Why this role

Current New York State Home Health Aide certification is required. High school diploma or GED, six months of related experience, CPR and First Aid certification, and a driver’s license may be preferred or required for certain assignments as stated in the posting.
