Snowflake Data Platform Operations Engineer

Job overview

The Snowflake Data Platform Operations Engineer role is hybrid, with onsite work in the north Dallas area three days per week; compensation is $60–$75 per hour. The Fountain Group is a nationwide staffing firm serving clients across multiple industries. This engineer provides operational support for Snowflake applications and platform services, helping maintain platform health, resolve incidents, and support continuity. The role works with engineering and account teams to manage platform changes, access, recovery procedures, and operational documentation.

What you'll do

• Triage, resolve, and escalate Snowflake platform incidents
• monitor platform health and performance with observability tools
• participate in disaster recovery and operational rotation exercises
• maintain runbooks for support and recovery in a remote AWS region
• collaborate on platform updates and troubleshooting
• manage Snowflake databases, schemas, roles, users, and IAM integrations
• execute secrets rotation and troubleshoot SCIM provisioning
• create job aids and documentation
• manage incidents, problems, changes, and service requests in ITSM tools.
