The School Age Aftercare Assistant Teacher role is onsite in Brush Prairie, WA, with compensation of $17.13–$19 per hour. The position supports the Gardner Country Friends Campus program for children ages 5–12. The assistant teacher helps the Lead Teacher provide a safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate environment. The role supports play-based activities, children’s social-emotional development, classroom routines, and communication with families under the Lead Teacher’s direction.

What you'll do

• Support the Lead Teacher in implementing play-based curriculum
• prepare activity materials and classroom spaces
• engage and supervise children indoors and outdoors
• observe children and share insights with the Lead Teacher
• maintain a clean and safe classroom
• assist with transitions, meals, and rest time
• communicate with families as directed
• attend required meetings and training.
