Activities Assistant

The Activities Assistant role is onsite in Coalinga, CA. Pay is $23 per hour. The position supports the Activities Department at Coalinga Regional Medical Center by providing routine care and services within the facility’s medical model of care. The assistant helps coordinate and deliver activities that address clients’ individual needs, social and mental well-being, and personal choices. The role contributes to a structured activity program and communicates observed changes in clients’ functioning to a licensed nurse.

What you'll do

• Implement daily interactive programming, including large and small groups, special events, and community outings
• provide one-to-one programming for clients unable or unwilling to join group programs
• participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
• write and implement measurable client goals
• report abnormal changes in body functioning to a licensed nurse
• support clients’ mental health and social needs, personal choices, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality
• work with clients’ families
• follow workplace safety, infection control, universal precautions, PPE, hazardous-material, and emergency procedures.

Why this role

Valid CNA license required. High school diploma or GED, three to six months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination is desired; prior healthcare-setting experience is a plus.
