The Early Head Start Teacher role is onsite in Ottumwa, IA, serving Wapello County. Pay is $17.94–$21.08 per hour. Sieda Head Start supports children and families through its Early Head Start program. The teacher plans and maintains a nurturing early childhood learning experience, implements developmentally appropriate lessons, and supports children’s individual developmental goals. The role also works with families, staff, and community partners to meet program standards and provide continuity of services.

What you'll do

• Plan and implement evidence-based, developmentally appropriate lessons
• maintain confidential child records and assessments
• adapt activities to children’s needs
• support recruitment and transitions
• supervise children and adults to maintain a safe environment
• communicate with families and community partners
• conduct at least two home visits and two parent-teacher conferences per program year
• maintain required training and credentials.
