The Interim Lower School STEM Teacher role is onsite in Norfolk, VA, full time through the end of the 2026–2027 school year. Pay is $280–$320 per day, based on relevant education, teaching experience, and licensure. The role supports Norfolk Collegiate School students from pre-kindergarten through grade 5. The teacher maintains continuity of instruction and brings hands-on STEM learning to life. What you'll do

• Partner with pre-K through grade 5 classroom teachers to co-plan and lead age-appropriate hands-on science and STEM activities
• maintain and organize the science lab and makerlab
• prepare materials, tools, and equipment safely
• support experiential projects that foster innovation and design thinking
• use outdoor learning spaces for nature, ecology, and environmental science lessons
• assist with feeding, watering, and maintaining cages for STEM lab animals.
