The Director of Engineering and Quality position is full-time in the office in Pittsburgh, PA. Pay is $150,000–$155,000 per year. ChemDAQ develops monitoring and control solutions intended to help customers reduce workplace exposure to toxic chemicals and improve safety. The director leads and mentors engineers, oversees quality practices, and guides product development and sustaining engineering. The role supports company growth by improving engineering processes, product delivery, documentation, and cross-functional execution.

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor the engineering team
• partner with the Quality Manager on documentation, processes, and new-product procedures, including work toward ISO 9001 certification
• collaborate on product strategy and specifications
• oversee cross-functional product development from concept through launch
• improve product-development processes
• update existing product lines
• improve engineering tools, processes, and documentation standards
• collaborate with Product Management and Operations
• contribute to management-team priorities.
