Manufacturing Engineering Technician — All Shifts

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician role is onsite in Ontario, NY, with an annual salary range of $45,000–$58,000. The technician supports Optimax’s precision optics manufacturing, including lenses used in aerospace, defense, and consumer electronics. The role assists manufacturing engineers with troubleshooting and process improvement to strengthen quality, throughput, and cost performance. It also documents results, supports production teams, and leads targeted improvement work as directed.

What you'll do

• Assist manufacturing engineers with process optimization and project planning
• troubleshoot production issues
• analyze process flows using Lean tools
• document improvement results
• collaborate with production teams and fill in on the production line when needed
• lead targeted improvement initiatives
• facilitate 5-Why root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• serve as a technical contact for customers and vendors when the manufacturing engineer is unavailable.
