Primary Infant Teacher

The Primary Infant Teacher works onsite in Mountain Lakes, NJ, part time, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Pay is $16–$18 per hour. Mountain Lakes Country Day School provides care and developmentally appropriate activities for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners. The teacher provides daily care and supervision for infants ages three to 17 months, supporting their safety, well-being, and development. The role contributes to a nurturing classroom through responsive care, age-appropriate activities, accurate records, and communication with families and coworkers.

What you'll do

• Care for infants through feeding, diapering, and play
• supervise a small group
• create daily classroom plans and routines
• maintain a clean, safe, engaging environment
• document daily activities, injuries, and notable behaviors
• communicate with parents and staff
• attend required meetings and events
• participate in professional development
• and follow diapering, handwashing, feeding, and hygiene procedures.
