The Weekend Warrior Registered Nurse (RN) role is onsite in Spruce Pine, NC. Compensation is based on experience and is not otherwise specified; the program adds $3 per hour, with applicable shift differentials paid in addition. Weekend-only opportunities include 12-hour shifts. The RN joins The Greens at Spruce Pine’s skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. The RN provides resident-centered nursing care, monitors health changes, and coordinates care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. The role supports resident comfort, dignity, and safety while providing clinical guidance to nursing team members as appropriate.

What you'll do

• Assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and communicate concerns to healthcare providers
• develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to physician orders and nursing standards
• collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff
• provide clinical guidance to LPNs, CNAs, and other team members as appropriate
• respond to changes and emergencies
• maintain timely nursing documentation
• communicate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
• and follow infection-prevention protocols and applicable regulations. Requires an active, unrestricted North Carolina RN license or valid multistate RN license authorizing practice in North Carolina.
